Storey: Guest Members

Joe Macklin
Joe contributed his wonderful melodic electric guitar parts to three of the songs which he co-wrote on ‘Out of Reach.’ Originally from Essex, but now living in London, Joe earned the prestigious ‘Guitarist of the Year’ while studying in West London, where he met Arron in 2001. He is currently handling guitar duties with the band on stage as well, and has been doing so since June 2007. Currently in the process of writing songs for a possible debut solo album, which you should look out for in the near future.

James Cranwell
James plies his trade as bassist and songwriter for London rock/metal band ‘Higgs Boson’ but as a former school friend of Arron, Liam and Ryan in Cambridgeshire, James was an obvious choice when the guys needed a bassist to jump in for a few shows. He has now been performing with the band since July 2007 and enjoys the challenges of working within a genre of music that varies so greatly from his own band, as well as the more spontaneous nature of the Storey show.

Simon White
Professional bassist Simon grew up in London, but has lived the majority of his life in Berkshire, where he teaches, performs and writes as part of his own melodic rock band ‘SjW.’ Simon was part of the very first ‘Storey’ line-up which took to the stage in Ealing in December 2006, and will also be contributing his memorable and funky bass lines to several tracks on the forthcoming Storey album. He released his debut album ‘Talk On Corners’ in 2006 which features the stand out title track known to ‘Storey’ fans as an integral part of our live show.

Al Reid
Berkshire based Al was also a founder member of the band, and played electric guitar on several of the tracks on ‘Out of Reach.’ His style is raw, bluesy and exciting, and he can still be seen abusing his Fender Stratocaster across Berkshire and the South of England, where Al performs as part of outstanding covers outfit ‘The Usual Suspects.’

Aloma Reid
Versatile singer/dancer Aloma is a native of Perth, Western Australia and contributed backing vocals (as well as lead vocals in ‘Keep My Hand’) to all of the songs on ‘Out of Reach.’ Aloma fronts covers band ‘Plan B’ in London and also pens original material herself.
